### Lesson Plan: Good Behaviors at Public Places
**Grade Level:** Nursery 2
**Duration:** 30 minutes
**Subject:** Social Habits
**Topic:** Good Behaviors at Public Places
---
#### **Objectives:**
By the end of the lesson, students will be able to:
1. Identify good behaviors to exhibit in various public places.
2. Understand the importance of good behavior in public spaces.
3. Practice specific behaviors through role-playing activities.
---
#### **Materials Needed:**
- Picture cards of different public places (park, library, supermarket, playground, etc.)
- Behavior cards with illustrations (waiting in line, saying please and thank you, keeping quiet, etc.)
- Chart paper and markers
- Stickers or stamps for positive reinforcement
- Toy props (e.g., shopping bags, books, etc.)
---
#### **Lesson Outline:**
1. **Introduction (5 minutes):**
Begin by gathering the students in a circle. Explain that today they will learn about how to behave properly in different public places. Ask if anyone already knows some good behaviors they should follow when they are out and about.
2. **Story Time (5 minutes):**
Read a short story featuring a character visiting various public places and demonstrating good behavior (e.g., “Liam’s Day Out”). Ask questions throughout the story to engage the students and reinforce understanding.
3. **Discussion (5 minutes):**
Show the picture cards of different public places. For each place, ask the students to describe what it looks like and what activities people might do there. Then introduce the behavior cards and discuss which behaviors are appropriate for each place.
4. **Role-Play Activity (10 minutes):**
Divide the students into small groups and assign each group a public place. Hand out behavior cards and toy props related to their assigned place. Allow each group a few minutes to practice and then have them role-play in front of the class. Encourage the students to highlight good behaviors during their role-play.
5. **Reinforcement (3 minutes):**
After the role-play, gather the students back into a circle. Provide positive feedback and highlight key good behaviors exhibited during the activity. Give out stickers or stamps as a reward for participation and good behavior.
6. **Conclusion and Recap (2 minutes):**
Summarize the lesson by revisiting the important good behaviors in public places. Emphasize why these behaviors are important and how they help everyone enjoy their time in public spaces. Encourage students to practice these behaviors whenever they go out with their families.
---
#### **Assessment:**
- **Observation:** Monitor students’ participation during discussions and role-plays to assess understanding.
- **Questions and Answers:** Ask individual students to identify proper behaviors for specific public places during the recap.
---
#### **Follow-Up Activity:**
Send home a simple worksheet with pictures of various public places and behaviors for students to match with their parents' help. This will reinforce the lesson and engage family members in reinforcing good behaviors.
---
### **End of Lesson Plan**
By creating a fun and interactive environment, students in Nursery 2 will learn to associate public places with specific good behaviors, helping to instill social habits from an early age.
